Venice .. oh that's one of the place i would love to go too ...
Hi Eden: I have been to many cities but must say Venice is so DIFFERENT from all the others. Not only is it a "water-village" 水鄉, the place also has so much history, richness and characteristics that make it so unique. If you have a chance to visit, let me know and I will be glad to send you more info. Meanwhile, we will share the pictures.
thanks in advance haricot! =)
how would u describe the people at Venice then?
Hi Eden: The revenue of modern-day Venice depends a lot on tourism as opposed to commerce a few hundred years ago. The people are nice and they offer their services and goods with a certain pride. For example: I was extremely happy with how the owner of the bread-and-breakfast place treated her guests. And, the merchant who sold the masks that I show at the beginning of this blog, he really took the time showing his art, not just because he wanted people to buy the masks, but because he was extremely proud of and passionate about his work as an artisan.
hmm, they really sound like nice people =) ... ok in my list of places to visit for sure!
There are always bad people in any places (e.g. pick pockets) but generally speaking Venice is good. Go for it !!!
