馬丁·路德·金恩: 我有一个梦想 ∕ Martin Luther King, Jr.: "I have a Dream"

在1968年4月4日,美國黑人民權運動領袖馬丁路德‧金恩在田納西州孟斐斯的旅館陽臺上被槍殺身亡 。 在四十年之後的今天,讓我們重溫他在1963年8月23日在华盛顿林肯纪念堂发表的著名演讲《我有一个梦想》的節錄 。

..... 在此时此刻,我们虽然遭受种种困难和挫折,我仍然有一个梦想,这个梦想是深深扎根于美国的梦想中的。
..... 我梦想有一天,这个国家会站立起来,真正实现其信条的真谛:“我们认为这些真理是不言而喻的,人人生而平等。”
..... 我梦想有一天,在佐治亚的红山上,昔日奴隶的儿子将能够和昔日奴隶主的儿子坐在一起,共叙兄弟情谊。
..... 我梦想有一天,甚至连密西西比州这个正义匿迹,压迫成风,如同沙漠般的地方,也将变成自由和正义的绿洲。
..... 我梦想有一天、我的四个孩子将在一个不是以他们的肤色,而是以他们的品格优劣来评价他们的国度里生活。
..... 我今天有一个梦想。
..... 我梦想有一天,亚拉巴马州能够有所转变,尽管该州州长现在仍然满口异议,反对联邦法令,但有朝一日,那里的黑人男孩和女孩将能与白人男孩和女孩情同骨肉,携手并进。
..... 我今天有一个梦想。
..... 我梦想有一天,幽谷上升,高山下降;坎坷曲折之路成坦途,圣光披露,满照人间。(聖經句)
..... 这就是我们的希望。我怀着这种信念回到南方。

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
..... And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
..... I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."
..... I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
..... I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
..... I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
..... I have a dream today!
..... I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.
..... I have a dream today!
..... I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."
..... This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.
It is such a powerful speech. Right from the heart, hundreds of years of slavery, discrimination, injustice, tear and blood resolve to a dream of brighter future for our children. It touches me deeply as it did many years years heard by the civil right fighters.
Keith: Yes, almost forty-five years later, King's speech still touches a lot of people. Unfortunately, there are still hate mongers out there promoting intolerance, to the extent that the person who had posted the YouTube video clips had to shut down the comments section because of all the racist messages coming his/her way.
可惜今天不少美國人都曲解了這個意念!
觀乎今日美國在中東的"解放行動",
不單把事情愈搞愈糟,
亦不見得伊拉克人民的生活有多大改善,
而背後只有謀經濟利益的圖謀!
就算是多偉大的理論,
只要落在有目的的政客手上都會變得污穢!
新鮮人: 根據媒介評論報道,也有很多美國人,是不同意現任總統和他政黨的中東政策,下次美國民主大選,就会顯示大多数公民的意見。
奧巴馬民望越高,被暗殺機會就越大,
美國四十年來,在這方面的進步不大!
我都知道不是所以美國人都支持出兵,
但不出兵的理由是為了支持正義還是什麼?
說到底人多是為了自己的利益著想先!
真正有偉大理念的少之又少啊!
觀乎現今世界,
對美國恨之入骨的人何其多,
這正正反映美國國際政策的失敗,
如果以為換個總統就有新的發展,
這會不會是有的"難度"呢?
Haricot 微豆 said...
Inner Space: 任何一個國家或世界的領袖丶名人丶歌手等,樹大招風,行刺暗殺的确是個憂慮 !!
Haricot 微豆 said...
新蘚人: 美國反戰人仕的理由,也各有分門別類,我相信支持正義者是有的。但不要忘記,「正義」和「偉大理念」之定義是非常主覌。
有沒有新的發展? 會不會是有的"難度"呢?
我想那就在乎選舉結果,和新領袖及其黨派的政策方向。一個政策的成敗,就在乎有沒有人(國內和外)支持。It is no use to think you are "right" if no one else is convinced.
就讓我們放長雙眼來看了!
當國家利益和正義有衝突時,
不過人會如何決擇?
之所以這樣問是因為:
就美國的戰爭策略,國際經濟理念,以至對中國貨幣的政策都是以自己的利益為依歸,
誠然,每個國家都會是這樣,
但因為美國是當今強國,
他時常四處干預別國政策,
甚至出兵推反別國的政權,
美其名為伸張正義,
實際背後又不是石油,經濟,戰略等等的利益問題,
所以我會覺得"正義"是一些高高在上的理念,
一但落實到手上,
還是很難做得到的,
因為每個人每個國家都有其背後的利益因素影響嘛!
好了,我講得太長氣了,
我想講我是希望正義常存,
但美夢實在難圓呀!
新鮮人: 我同意很多國家的國際和外交政策,都是以本國利益為最重要,但從樂覌者的眼光來看,正義之心是超越國家的分界線,否則二次大戰就沒有盟軍打敗纳粹党,而集中營毒气室的死囚亦不会只是猶太人了!! 我相信世界的正义「指標」是有起有落,不平等陋俗丶歧视丶排斥等仍会發生,但總括來說,众志成城,世界文明是有和会改善的!!
U.S. went to Iraq war not because of oil (as many Chinese newspapers say); it is because of misguided leadership (namely Bush and his Whitehouse aides influenced by special interest groups). It is why Republican will lose the next election.
The democratic system is not perfect. It was not so 2 thousand some years ago when Greeks started it (they executed Socrates because he had radical different ideas). And it is not perfect now.
Bush has his supporters but majority of Americans are aganist the Iraq war. People now conveniently blamed everything to Hitler. Don't forget he had the majority German support when Nazi controlled Germany.
"... it is because of misguided leadership ..."
At work, if I listen to someone's advice, agree with the info, and subsequently make a decision, I cannot give the excuse later that my leadership has been misguided. As manager or leader, I am still being held responsible for making that final decision. Anyway, I don't recall hearing US President Bush ever said explicity he had been misguided.
"... People now conveniently blamed everything to Hitler ..."
Of course, he has been iconized, just like King. Don't forget too the Tribunal of War Crimes Against Humanity is still prosecuting those who share the responsibility long after Hitler's death.
我衷心希望"但願如此"!
謝謝指教! =)
