How do you do? 「老外」您好 !!
在中囯北京舉行的奧林匹克運動倒数開始後,与奥運有關的辦事人員和商界行業,都儘量把公共告示丶亍標路牌丶廣告和其它遊客須知的消息,由中文翻釋過來英文。但可能是字典丶电腦丶或員工的能力有限,很多時印了出來的是「半鹹半淡」的英文,看後真令人摸不著頭腦,,啼笑皆非。以下是某歺館給客人看的歺牌,請留意那「干」字的英文翻釋。

Talk about Lost In Translation (Bill Murray :-). Looks like this is the handy work of a poor translation software.
I have great respect for Mainland Chinese trying to learn English though. They are so eager to learn. My Mandarin is terrible. Thanks to their broken English, my American coworkers and I can do business with them.

Well, I have to agree with you - gotta give people credit for trying. I too cannot carry on a conversation in Mandarin. However, my previous job did not require me to speak the language.
新鮮人: 似乎需要的是 QA/QC Quality Assurance/Quality Control 方面的專業人才。
其實佢哋是要"識英文"的人就ok啦! :p
其實中國的人才多的是, 不過文盲的更加多, 給她多點時間跟耐性吧 =)
新鮮人: 無錯,是不需要費很多人力物力的。
