捉恐龍 / Gone Catching Dinosaurs

Last Friday, I had an appointment with S after work. Since I arrived early, I decided to go inside the building to take a look-see.

What a surprise !! As soon as I entered the doorway, there was the skeleton of a mammoth 長毛象 awaiting my arrival. It was by no means a gigantic one, but still the giant head, long curved tusks and the elephant-like frame just dwarfed me. There were display cases of various bird-eggs and samples of animals collected from Canada's sub-arctic north. Further down the hallway in the cafeteria was the skeleton of another long-extinct dinosaur, the name of which I could not even pronounce. What impressed me was the mane-like bones behind its neck.

For a moment, the place brought back memories of my visits with T and S to the Museum of Nature on Metcalfe Street. It also reminded me that I was still very much a science and technology guy at heart even with the diversifications of my career into policy, human resources and management.

So if my primary school teacher had asked me what I would like to be when I grew up ....

『咁你大個之後嘅志願係想做乜嘢呀,豆豆?』
