When I was skating past Carleton U, I said I gotta take one for imak !! Yes, the Canal is still beautiful as ever, winter or summer.

Maybe you and Ian can plan a ski trip to Mount Tremblant, spend some time in Montreal, and when you pass by Ottawa, do some skating on the canal. I am sure with some practice, it will all come back to you.
