Noodling Catfish

Crazy or what ??!!

Below is a photo of two fishing buddies showing their catch-of-the-day:
And here is the photo of my catch-of-the-day from the local fish monger !!! This catfish weighs over a kilo and its chopped up pieces fill up my 12-inch diameter frying pan !!!

you are good, not many people like eating catfish. I only use it to make soup.

You are right, the chance of getting infected in that murky water is high.

Well, that's why they are red-necks!!!

You're welcome.

I recognize calling someone a「紅脖硬漢 Rednecks」is stereotyping. But the label does include several distinct characteristics that you would not find in my circle of friends :O

Unlike sharks and other predators that feed on flesh, catfish attack mostly when they feel threatened by intruders, in this case, someone sticking an arm into their nests.

While the aboriginals "noodled" out of necessity, modern day noodlers do it for fun, their kind of fun!!

Little to do with Chinese noodles, that's for sure !!
